Phones4U

Phones 4 U are a UK company which specialise in phones and contracts. Most of the phones they offer are linked to telecom suppliers though I suspect you can also purchase a phone without a supplier.

They obviously sell contract as well as PAYG – pay as you go phones.

The good thing about going to a dealer means that you can chose the better deal for you. Some deals might be better on the free minutes, others might be better on the price. Some can be better on the Free Texts whilst others might have a better roaming service. With all the competition going on, you are sure to find something to suit you.

Their tag line is that they have the phone for you, and that might actually be true. They might also have the right contract for you too!

Just remember that if a deal is too good to be true it probably is. Do read all the small print. The contract may tie you in for a period of time also. Most contract deals are for a year but some can be up to 2 years. This is not good if you keep changing contracts to keep up to date with the latest phones. Phones are released more frequently than every 2 years. A phone is out dated within a few months, can you imagine have the same phone with all its nicks for more than 1 year? Do make sure that you are ready to be tied in with a contract if you chose a contract type deal as they can be quite expensive to abandon!

Have a look. At the very least you are aware of what current deals and offers are available. You never know, you just might find the phone 4 U!

Vodafone

Vodafone is one of the leading mobile phone providers world wide. Though I am sure they do not need much introduction.

You can buy Phones, Accessories, SIM Cards and Contract Deals direct from Vodafone, which in turn means you get a better deal.

With a contract deal, you can get yourself one of the latest phones for Free, Free Texts and even Free Minutes.

They also offer other services such as Vodafone Passport, Saving your contacts online, Chat & Email, Roaming, Vodafone m-pay, messaging and voicemail.

What you probably have not yet heard of is Vodafone at Home. This service offers you Broadband and Land Line Calls & Services. It gives you up to 8MB surf speed with NO download limits and Free Land Line calls. All for just £25.00 a month. A great price for such a fast broadband speed with no download limit and free landline calls. There are a few terms and conditions such as it costing more if you do not have a Vodafone mobile but that is always the case, so you do need to read the t&c’s but overall we think it is a good offer.

Wirefly Offer

I am sure that you have read my Wirefly review. If not, you really should. You can just click on Wirefly to read it. But for a brief synopsis, Wirefly sell mobile phones to the US. They cover a range of service providers and deals. They also give free mobiles with some of their deals. They do not service the UK.

They currently have a great deal on offer, which I really must tell you about. Their free T-Mobile RAZR offer gives you a free latest edition RAZR phone by Motorola. You will be connected to T mobile in the US. You would be on a contract. These contracts start from $34.99 US Dollars per month. But currently you get a $50 dollar rebate. Yes $50 US Dollars back for nothing! Which means more money for you to shop with! Yippee! This deal however is only valid until the end of this month – March 2007. So do hurry if you want to take up this offer, click on the link and sign up.

And in case you really need some more incentive, the Razr is the slimmest phone on the market. It is really funky and a really cool accessory. I really want one. Wonder if T-mobile UK have the same offer on?

Cisco Online

Cisco Online are able to offer a variety of online services including:-

These are pretty vital services to any online businesses. Personally, I love Wifi which gives me the freedom to access the Internet wire free on my laptop. And Voip means that I can call around the world cheaply or even freely! With a little help from video conferencing, you can also see who you are talking to, as well as speak to several people at the same time in different locations including different countries. Needless to say, having a secure network is a must for EVERY business if you want to be taken seriously!

Wirefly

As you probably know from a previous post of mine, Wirefly do cell phones direct to the US. I really keep hankering for a mobile phone. You see the thing is this, they have some really interesting deals on currently. As a head of the family, I particularly find the family deals appealing. As well as sharing your minutes on a family plan, (ie I can use my hubby’s extra unused minutes), you can claim up to 5 Free mobiles on the family plan! One for every family member! And as a Disney lover, I find their Disney Mobiles are soooo appealing. I wonder if I can get a Disney Family Plan?

I would pick and choose a Razr. I would do this based on three reasons: a) my brother would be so jealous and b) they are offering them free and c) they are so slinky and sexy that you can almost not call them phones!

They even offer a Free 2-day delivery via FedEx for all phones and accessories ordered with an individual new line of service. Just to ensure you get them quickly!

Won’t someone please do me a favour and buy me one! Oh I wish I was temporarily living in the states!

You cannot say that we don’t love you! Look what we found for you. A $5 dollar calling card for you.

You can get your $5.00 calling by either signing up with Pingo or Linking your website to them. If you just go to Pingo and put their link on their website and send them an email to link@freeautobot.com to get your free card.

Wirefly Mobile

Wirefly Mobile offer a wide selection of new cell phones and mobile offers. Sadly, they are only available to you if you live in the United States.

They can offer you phone deals with a selection of Carriers including Cingular, T Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Liberty Wireless, Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, Nextel, US Cellular, amp’d mobile and even Disney Mobile! And their deals range from Business plans to family plans, and obviously individual plans & prepaid for the rest of us! All their phones are sent by Fedex with Fast Free Shipping.

You can choose from a great selection of mobile phones when choosing a mobile plan. They offer Backberry, Sony W300i, Motorola Razr, Samsung, Nokia, Sanyo, UT Starcom, Sony Ericsson and Audiovox are just a few brands among the many that Wirefly mobile offer. You can also purchase accessories, either by adding them to your order or buying them again at a later date. Their selection of accessories include Car Chargers, Batteries, Cases and Holsters, Bluetooth, Chargers, Memory and Data Cards, Faceplates, Covers, Headsets, Y-charging cables, Wireless signal boosters and more. They even have a clearance section for cheap accessories.

Wirefly Mobile have a satisfaction guarantee to keep all their customers happy. If you are not 100% satisfied with your wireless phone (bought from them obviously) for any reason, you can return it for a full refund. Their 100% satisfaction guarantee even covers PDA’s and wireless PC Cards. They realise that the best way to test a phone is to make and receive calls, feel it and use it, and last but not least check out the reception in the areas you frequent eg work, home, friends etc.

The nicest bit about this website is that you can even get cash for your old mobile. You even print out your own pre paid label to post your mobile to them, and in turn they send you a check. How cool is that?

EBay

Click Here to shop at eBay.co.uk
EBay is an online auction website. It is probably the most well known auction site of them all. You can choose to buy stuff from your neighbour next door or direct from a wholesaler in Hong kong, you can grab a bargain from the US or something from as remote a place as Timbuktu!

What I love best is that you can really grab a bargain or two or erm…. plenty more. You can get new stuff at cost price or less sometimes! Obviously you can also buy unwanted second hand stuff for next to nothing also. And you can sell all your unwanted stuff to pay for it too! And all your unwanted stuff. Honestly everything sells. Ipods, Dancewear, PC’s, Accessories, Games, Books, Baby Stuff, Mobiles, TV’s, Fireplaces, Toys, Beds & Sheets, Sofas, Clothes, Costumes, Nursery Products, Coupons, Photography Stuff, Gadgets, Travel items, Gifts and all sorts of stuff. You name it, you can Buy It or Sell It on EBay.

EBay – Buy It, Sell It, Love It! Confusing logo but its true enough!

Bet you heard about eBay before today. Bet you heard some bad things and good. As always … you get good sides and bad. For your protection eBay has worked on safety systems. The first is FEEDBACK. Everyone who signs up has feedback. You start off with a Nil Feedback rating and as you buy and sell, you build up feedback. Feedback is very important. This is especially important for you to look into the Seller’s Feedback when buying anything of substantial value. As a base rule most people have well over 90% positive feedback. Less than that should set warning bells ringing. Read their feedback before bidding. Remember that by bidding you re committing to buy if you win the auction. I recommend you build your first few feedback by purchasing a few small items as people are obviously hesitant to buy from sellers with less than 10 feedback ratings.

The other is Paypal. People who work with Paypal tend to be safer sellers and more frequent too. They also have a feedback system, but read our Paypal opinion for more information.

Some recommendations when buying:-

  • Read the auction well. Make sure you understand what is being sold. Ask questions if you are unsure. Most people will respond very quickly. A quick response tends to be a good sign.
  • Read Peoples Feedback before bidding. See how happy other people were with their purchases.
  • Take P&P into consideration as the costs can build up.
  • Avoid paying money directly into bank accounts. You have NO safety net. You lose all right to your money and eBay can do nothing more than close down their account. You will not see your money again. Pay by cheque, credit card, postal order or Paypal. You will be protected.
  • Decide on a price and place that bid. It will only increase as high as the other person who also wants it is ready to go or your maximum. Do not get caught up in a last minute bidding war as you may ed up paying more than you bargained for!

If you are selling: -

  • Respond fast to questions.
  • Once the item closes and you have received payment, send out items as soon as possible.
  • Have reasonable P&P rates.
  • List a picture and list in the gallery. This increases sales and prices.
  • Be honest in your write up and be very detailed.
  • Start your auction low and if necessary put a reserve price. Low starting prices attract more people and sell for better prices!

Good Luck and Happy Selling, Bidding and Buying!

Tesco

Tesco – every little helps!

I am sure that you do not need any introduction to Tesco, but I must go on a little bit about Tesco because they are far from being just a grocery store!

Tesco originated as a grocery store slowly conquering the market and becoming what it is today. Tesco has helped change the way we view supermarkets completely. In the past, you walked into a corner store picked up a pint of milk, some bread, your daily paper and perhaps the food you ate that day. Quick in, Quick out. Well today you pop in to your store and can pick anything up from your pint of milk to your TV. And you no longer have to pop in. Tesco will even deliver direct to your door.

All Tesco‘s electronics have FREE delivery, though you have to pay for delivery for groceries. However, there always are coupons and special offers that can cover the delivery (plus some groceries). Delivery charges are dependant upon when you want your order delivered. Example it is more expensive on a Saturday than a Tuesday.

There is no minimum order, though the coupons usually have a minimum £50.00 purchase. I particularly like to use them to deliver big heavy stuff like my washing powder, bottled water, wine and toilet paper. Ok I know TP is not heavy but it is bulky and saves me having to manoeuver it in the car. You can also always amend your order until the night before. You can even book your slot up to 3 weeks in advance. Perfect for your return after holidaying.

Even if you have used Tesco before, I must highlight that Tesco have done some major rehauling of their website. You can now really get anything from Tesco including all the following:-

  • Groceries (Duh!)
  • Electronics (TV’s, Ipods, Playstations etc)
  • Photography Printing (cheap too!)
  • Wine (Cheaper than instore – they even have a wine club)
  • Furniture (Really New stuff!)
  • Baby Stuff (Nappies, Nursery, Food etc – They also have a baby club and send you great offers)
  • Finance (Credit cards that give you back cash, loans, saving accounts etc)
  • Insurance (Cheaper than most! – including Travel, Car, Home & Pet)
  • Phones (mobiles & landlines – they even have a value SIM)
  • Broadband (different services available)
  • Flowers (did you remember your mum’s birthday?)
  • Travel (Cheap Cheap Travel)
  • Gas & Electricity (You earn points on cheap gas & electricity)
  • Books, DVD’s, Cd’s etc (Starting from under a pound too!)
  • DVD Rentals (You do not even need to buy the damn DVD’s!)
  • Diets (First they fatten us – then they slim us down! Hmm)
  • Contact Lenses (Yes – watch out specsavers)
  • A legal store (should I be worried?)
  • Nutricentre (not quite sure what this is yet!)
  • Toys (makes Christmas shopping easier)
  • DIY & Car (All you need to do it yourself!)
  • House & Home (Like they would not have this section!)
  • Clothes (coming soon!)

Did I cover it all? Oh yes, before I forget, they even do things like sponsor schools (giving stuff away) and sponsors charities (see their plastic bags). Oh yes, they will even recycle their bags, you can hand to your delivery man or in store. Plus if you reuse your bags, you even get green points which convert to money! 1 green point for every bag used. The only drawback is this is not available on deliveries – yet!

Before I forget, you really should get yourself a clubcard. You can get so much with their points. You get 1 point per £1 spent. This translates to a penny if you use them in store but 4 p – 4 times as much if you use on clubcard deals. And they have some amazing deals from Tussauds Group Tickets to Airmiles, from Days Out to Hotels, Accomodation and Travel.

Just click on the link and start shopping till you drop! Good thing you are shopping from home – you can go rest afterwards ;)

Oh you might want to keep an eye on the comment section for up to date Coupons. Why not submit your own? Š
