Romance

I believe in love! I am not talking Romance Novels but true love. I have been married 8 years and the time has flown by. They have been very happy years. Yes obviously we also have our ups and downs but when it comes to it, we are still pretty much madly in love. People often comment to us how unusual it is to see a married couple still holding hands and kissing. We still whisper sweet nothing and we have made it a point to not lose any of the romance we had while dating. After all it is the fun part of being in love.

Do you know that he still buys me flowers regularly and I might do silly little things like slip a note in his wallet, or wait for him in some silky new underwear on our bed! It keeps the romance alive. And I still get butterflies occasionally!

It is after all, about give and take. You cannot just expect to receive. You also need to be able to forgive. If you cannot forgive and forget, how can you expect your partner too? It is about cherishing each other for your good points and ignoring the bad. It is about cuddling and making up. It is about the gratitude that I feel, that my husband lets me be the shopaholic that I am!

Virtual Makeover

I am never happy with my looks. I guess few women actually ever are. I keep shopping to keep up dating my looks. I buy accessories, clothes, shoes, make up etc! However there are somethings that you cannot change easily. I am especially talking about hair styles. You cannot cut your hair one week and then want long hair the following week.

I came across a website that offers virtual make overs. It is a really amazing website. You can chose different types of hairstyles, make up, accessories, specs (if you wear them), jewellery and more. They use available products that are currently on sale in the market such as Bourjois or if you prefer designer looks, they also offer designer brands like Versace.

I spent ages on the web site playing with my “new” looks. I tried different hair styles, different make-up and even different specs. What I liked best was that I tried styles that I never imagined I would ever consider let alone try. Yes, my curiousity got the better of me – and do you know what? Some were far nicer than I could have imagined (while styles I thought would suit me – well let me not say anything further!)

My brother unfortunately did not manage to get into the course of his choice at university and is thinking of taking a gap year out. He is thinking about going to New York for the year. So I have done some research on renting a property in New York and came up with places like Kew Gardens real estate. I have suggested alternatives such as Camp America but he prefers to just enjoy his time there.

From my point of view, I heard shopping in New York is amazing. Watch out New York, shopaholic truly is coming to town! Yippee!!

Conservatories

I have been looking to buy a Cheap ConservatoryÂ for our house. I like conservatories because you can get a room outside. You can get all the natural light without getting wet!

Ok you may say that I am fussy. I cannot live in a hot country because it is too hot. I cannot live in a wet country because it is too dull! Seriously speaking, I think having a conservatory would give me all the light I need and make me feel a whole lot better. And to boot having a conservatory should add value to the house.

I was told that a conservatory can add twice the cost of the conservatory to the value of the house. So it means you get your money back in the long run and enjoy the conservatory meanwhile.

My only problem is that here in the Isle of Man is that conservatories seem to cost at least twice what they cost in the Uk. I suppose that with the fact that it will still add twice the value to the house, it is still worth doing. And hopefully we will not have too much dust around or for too long as most conservatories can be put up within 10 days from begining to end!

Christmas!

I guess Christmas is begining to draw closer. Well the shops are filling with Christmas stuff and I am already planning my Christmas cake. The earlier it is made the better it is!

I came across a site that sells Christmas wreaths and Real Christmas Trees. Admittedly you can buy real Christmas trees quite easily but most places won’t deliver them. I must say finding one that delivers and delivers them free too is amazing. The only pity is that I have not found one that delivers to the Isle of Man! Hopefully there may be a local delivery service.

Argh look at me thinking of Christmas already!

Skin Issues

I probably have the worst skin in the world. As a teenager I had a bunch of spots for a face. It did not make for a happy teenage life. To make matters worse, I was never the best person to look after my skin. I know that I should look after my skin but I do not do anywhere near enough. In fact you can still say my skin is as spotty as most teenage skin. Sad!

The nice bit is that apparently the latest news is that theÂ best way to now look after your skin is from the inside out. Apparently our skin can be improved by a dietary supplement called R.G. Skin Revitalizer Â which has been recently discovered. It is an oil extract from a tropical fruit which is rich in antioxidants. If it is taken regularly, it can give skin nourishment from the inside out. Apparently it boosts our immune system, assists the skins rejuvination system and supports the structural cellular integrity.

But in basic terms, what interests me is that I pop a pillÂ and my skin should clear up. Now if that is true, it is excellent. Let me hope it is not just another expensive fairy tale!

If you are selling your home, then you probably already heard about HIPSÂ - the Home Information Packs. From a buyers perspective it can be a good thing. However I feel it is an unfair extra cost when selling your home insisted on by the government. Yet there it is. So my advice is to research who you go to as you would any shopping.

Wedding Bitz

If you are getting married, you know what a lot of planning goes into it. I am not sure if it will help but if you Visit Wedding Bitz r Us Ltd, you might be able to get all your bits in one go. It will make so many things easier on you. They have a whole range of co-ordinated items and they are at a reasonable price.

Don’t forget to get a wedding cake top piece because a caterer does not automatically assume you want one, and if you are like me you will find that you have an empty cake. Thankfully our wedding favours were of a bride & groom teddy, and we placed one on top of the cake. Made the cake look co-ordinated and even saved the day!

OK, I must admit perhaps I am a little bit drunk. It is a saturday night after all. But I was thinking of making a banner standÂ for my hubby’s birthday. It could say something like “Happy Birthday Owen! Love from all of us”. We could use it ever year too! LOL! And it should embarrass him lotsÂ too!

Beds

I can never seem to find exactly what I want in a bed. Oak BedsÂ are nice and solid but a shame to paint white. Our bedroom is white. I need storage space, so it has to have storage space such as drawers underneath. Ideally it must be nice and bouncy (for obvious reasons! – I have a 1 year old son in case you are wondering…lol!). And perhaps ideally not too expensive!

Am I asking too much?
