One of the best things about being pregnant is not having to worry about my weight. I can take a break from trying to lose weight and just try to eat healthily. Mind you the cravings I have for meat does not make for a healthy diet. Despite this, I guess I can forget about losing weight and weight loss pills and just enjoy being pregnant. Meanwhile, I can head off to buy some lovely kids clothes perhaps from Naartjie now that Adams & Woolworths closed down!
If you are getting married this summer, I thought I would let you know about a sale that is on at American Bridal. A good sale is always worth mentioning… so there I have told you about it.
What is really worth knowing, is that if you love Bags… then you will love their Tote Bags! They are selling them at $5 dollars. Seriously where can you get a bag at $5. And what I like most is that you can personalise it. Ok perhaps I am a bit self-centred but I like personalise things. You do pay extra (for a full name $12) but in my opinion it is worth it. You can chose the colour, style and everything, which I think is fantastic. And the best bit about it is they have a whole range of totes and bags.
And they ship internationally!!!! YAY!!!
In life there are some things money cannot buy. I was reading about a new born baby girl being abandoned by her mum in a school playing field. For all the silver baby gifts in the world, this child will never get over the fact that her mum abandoned her minutes old in a field all on her own.
Suddenly I don’t feel so materialistic because even I know I would give up all my possessions to protect a child, let alone if it were my child!
Having spoken of weddings and beautiful things, I thought it only fair to say don’t forget your better half. Though I can guarantee that most men will not be in the least interested in the wedding dress (except if you tell them they cannot see it until the big day), you can get them to participate by choosing mens jewelry both for themselves (their ring) and perhaps as gifts for the ushers, best man etc.
Obviously Woolworths is on everyone’s mind. I mean how can a shop that survived 2 world wars, been around 99 years and is a well known house hold name go into administration? They literally sold everything… well almost… I don’t think they sold Taylormade Drivers but you could get everything else, so it does leave me perplexed.
Personally I think that modern times require shops to tie their customers by enticing them with loyalty schemes… Woolworths did not have one.
Today they started their sales, and people went made. I heard people queued for over an hour to pay! I spoke to the manager of Woolworths and he told me that in his 10 years of working at Woolworths, he has never seen anything like this. The queues were twisted around the store. The sales weren’t even that spectacular!
What interests me is that Woolworths is up for sale for £1… but my hubby refused to let me buy it because of all the debt is comes with. Shame!!
Has anyone used any Grow Lights? They are meant to be really good to encourage plant growth but I have never used them before or known anyone to use them. Honestly speaking I don’t have green fingers at all but I try. Interestingly my plants tend to commit suicide… I know one plant jumped 3 floors to get away from me!!
I thought that this was so romantic that I could not help but share with you. It is a “love beyond measure spoon”.
I am thinking of getting my hubby one as a token Christmas gift but I suppose they could also make unique wedding favors. Do you reckon he will get the point bearing in mind that he is a man?
I was recently asked for suggestions on Unique Wedding Favors. At first I was stumped! All I could think of were the traditional sugared almonds. Each almond being there to represent:-
But then I thought back to when I got married… and realised that besides the sugared almonds, we had also given a tiny Ceramic Bride & Groom TeddyBear on a moon which we personalised. I think some guests still have our souvenir!
I was told that this site was very female oriented. And well I must admit it is. My interests tend to be female oriented (especially as I am female). But besides, honestly, how much do you reckon I could speak about things like Yamaha rhino parts?
There is nothing I love more than organising a wedding. The fun of shopping that goes with it is endless. The money for shopping that goes into it… huge! The amount of wedding ideas that I have are endless.
Now to talk my hubby into renewing our vows ….
