I must start taking some nutritional supplements because I am so tired that even shopping seems to have lost its allure. Imagine I go shopping and all I want to do is head home. I don’t even last half the amount of parking time I paid. And even when Tesco delivers my shopping, I just feel the chore of putting it all away rather than the joy of the new products I ordered to try. Talking of Tesco… they seem to be implementing a new system. Interestingly, the new system is available to a few customers but not to most. I had the opportunity to test the new system on my hubby’s account. It still has lots of glitches but I guess the aim is for improvements and it is technologically clever. Mind you, they seem to have found out my loop holes and closed them like on the buy 1 get 1 free and both counting towards final total for the total if using a coupon. I guess all good things come to an end.

I recently went instore to M&S to buy some food. They have this great offer where you dine in for a £10 for two. Unfortunately they were out of side dishes (and a lot of other stuff too), however they offered to give a £5 discount voucher with the purchase of the offer in lieu of the side dish. This made it sound like a great offer. I picked

a lasagna (which was delicious and I am fussy about my pasta)

a bottle of wine (a sparkling wine which was fruity)

a panna cotta (not for dieters – mind you nor was the lasagna)

I went and paid… and was not given the voucher. So I requested it. I was told, we deducted £5 off the total instead. Needless to say, it was no longer an exceptional offer. I went to complain to the manager who did not really want to do much. However as I was not the only one complaining, we were given £2.50 back. Still not quite the fiver but at least it resembled the cost of the average side dish.

The interesting part was between paying and before complaining the offer was removed!! I was unimpressed to say the least!

Wine

Insurances

Costume Jewellery

Holiday Shop

Technology

Both their quality and prices are really reasonable.

Their grocery section has a vast range of delicacies at reasonable prices. They also have ordinary food too. The biggest drawback is they generally tend to sell their own range only. For example they will only sell their own brand water, which is not particularly good. But over all the rest of the items are better than the average supermarket. However you cannot get groceries online presently. You have to go in store to buy them. Its well worth a visit. You can find an M&S on almost every high street.

They now offer Free delivery on orders over £30.00.

They have a loyalty scheme called the “& More”. It is credit card based. The more you spend, the more you earn in rewards to spend back at M&S. Its not a bad rewards scheme and you can use the card elsewhere to earn rewards for M&S.

Although you can order from anywhere in the world, sadly they temporarily only send out to the UK… but don’t worry I live in the UK and my address is….!! Just kidding!! Perhaps I should not joke and I should rename this site Chocaholic? Me?

Ok… back to Cadbury’s. They offer a gift finder service. You can chose a gift by selecting price and occasion and they offer you a selection of gifts. But personally I prefer their pick & mix section to create an original gift.

The best bit about this site is that at the end of the day, you get a quality chocolate gift by Cadbury’s. You cannot go wrong. And while ordering that yummy gift, why not order an extra one for yourself too!

Well today you pop in to your store and can pick anything up from your pint of milk to your TV. And you no longer have to pop in. Tesco will even deliver direct to your door.

All Tesco’s electronics have FREE delivery, though you have to pay for delivery for groceries. However, there always are coupons and special offers that can cover the delivery (plus some groceries). Delivery charges are dependant upon when you want your order delivered. Example it is more expensive on a Saturday than a Tuesday.

There is no minimum order, though the coupons usually have a minimum £50.00 purchase. I particularly like to use them to deliver big heavy stuff like my washing powder, bottled water, wine and toilet paper. Ok I know TP is not heavy but it is bulky and saves me having to manoeuver it in the car. You can also always amend your order until the night before. You can even book your slot up to 3 weeks in advance. Perfect for your return after holidaying.

Even if you have used Tesco before, I must highlight that Tesco have done some major rehauling of their website. Oh yes, before I forget, they even do things like sponsor schools (giving stuff away) and sponsors charities (see their plastic bags). Oh yes, they will even recycle their bags, you can hand to your delivery man or in store. Plus if you reuse your bags, you even get green points which convert to money! 1 green point for every bag used. The only drawback is this is not available on deliveries – yet!

Before I forget, you really should get yourself a clubcard. You can get so much with their points. You get 1 point per £1 spent. This translates to a penny if you use them in store but 4 p – 4 times as much if you use on clubcard deals. And they have some amazing deals from Tussauds Group Tickets to Airmiles, from Days Out to Hotels, Accomodation and Travel.
