The latest trend is shoe fitness. Shoes like FitFlops and mbt shoes are meant fit to help people get fit without much effort. It works by simply making a person keep working at mantaining their balance. They look a lot like platforms though they are curved rather than flat. Personally I don’t like their look but if they can help me keep fit without having to go to the gym – who cares. Once I do try them, I promise I will review them. I wonder if anyone will sponsor me a pair!!

Passing the time
I think while I wait for Boots, I will use my time productively and shop for shoes womens of course. Admittedly I won’ t be treating myself to any Manolos. The truth is I still do not manage to look after my shoes well. It is not that I do not mean to, it is just that I seem to walk in shoes like a little girl. I scratch them and wear them to bits. And at designer prices, it would probably kill me knowing that I scratched them in less than 1/2 an hour of having them. Maybe one day.
Flying
It is amazing the price when buying compression stockings online as compared to popping into a chemist or even worse buying at an airport. Actually I am amazed that they do not try to sell them on board planes. Think about it. They give out normal socks when flying long haul so why not go a step further and sell the upgrade to passengers especially on flights where they do not give any socks out. I mean I always forget mine and if reasonably priced, I might buy some on board. After all it would be a good target market.
Something Special
We had a wedding recently and I paid a lot of attention to what my kids were wearing. My daughter had a nice new dress, my sons were in suits. And I had not got round to buying myself anything. Despite being a shopaholic, with twin babies, most of my shopping is online and er food comes first. However I was able to add a flower corsage to my dress and to my daughter’s and suddenly I felt special. I felt important. At just £15 for a corsage it is far cheaper than a new dress and you do feel really special.
(I must confess the photos were taken the day after the event and they still look beautiful).

This range of corsages is available from Interflora. Check them out, they have a great range, and I’m sure you’ll find something that can accent what you’re wearing.
Uniforms
OCD?
I think I might suffer from OCD – obsessive compulsive disorder or something almost as severe. I know that I am a shopaholic in need of help because I was actually considering buying wholesale clothes. I came across a lot of 118 pieces of womens jeans by Diesel and Bebe. Each pair retails between $100 and $250. The lot was on auction at $325 which is approximately 2 pairs. That would however leave me with another er 116 pairs. And although I would be making a saving as the site told me the RRP is $16,600 and I could sell the excess on ebay… I started to realise just how deep I was in. Perhaps I need to get myself some help… or even just hand back my VISA to my hubby!
Coogi
I saw these coogi shorts and had these thoughts…..
The slim teenager in me says “wow“. The mother in me says “if I ever catch my daughter wearing that…” The wife in me says “were you looking?” The fat slob in me says “not in a million years“ The wishfulness in me says “if I were a teenager again“ The shopaholic in me says “how much please?”
The question is what do you think?
Debenhams
I recently placed a pretty big order from Debenhams. Overall I was pretty pleased with it all.
I received my order in 3 separate packages within a couple of days. All were nicely packed too. And I only had one delivery charge and it was the same for the Isle of Man as it is for the UK and at £3.95, I dare say it is very reasonable. The clothes are lovely (though a tad on the pricey side) especially if for a wedding or special occasion. And I had no problems with my order whatsoever. Fantastic.
My only gripe, I placed the order the day before the sales started. I really nearly considered cancelling my order and re-ordering as the saving would have been pretty big, but it had been already dispatched and I did want it fast. Talking of fast, they do not do express delivery but they do actually deliver in a very short space of time approx 3-4 days.
New wardrobe
One of the best side effects of diet pills, dieting and losing weight is the need to buy a new wardrobe (unless you yo-yo diet and then have a wardrobe full of different size clothes). I used to be a huge size 24 and slowly (and I mean slowly) have slimmed down to a size 16 verging on a 14.
I was so unused to having lost weight and afraid that I would put it back on because I was destined to be fat forever, that I refused to give away any of my “fat” clothes, especially when I got pregnant. However 2 pregnancies later and I have mantained my weight. It is only recently that I have been giving them away as they have lain unworn for a few years now except for my last trimester in both pregnancies. It did save me buying lots of maternity clothes that would hardly get used.
But I still have not found that push I need to move down to a size 14. As a 16 tends to be baggy and a 14 too tight, I am in a huge shopping dilema… and I end up not buying. And this is sad, especially as Debenham’s have an up to 70% off sale!
Wardrobe Clearout
I was pretending to clear out my wardrobe. I must say pretending because I like the clothes I bought. If I didn’t, I would not have bought them in the first place. But considering that I was a size 22-24 and I am now a 16, it makes them rather large. I want to buy more stuff but a size 16 is not my target size. So I need to get motivated to lose that little bit more but I cannot. Perhaps if I went on a 7 day fat burner extreme and I lost a little weight, then I just might get my motivation. Maybe next week!!
