I need to get round to sorting out my son’s music lessons. He currently goes for piano lessons and he is on a waiting list to start violin lessons at school but ultimately he wants to learn to play the harp. You can imagine my pleasure that he would like to learn how to play the harp but you can imagine how scary the thought of purchasing a harp only to be abandoned a year down the line. On the otherhand if he took up guitar, I would struggle because a guitar often hurts my ears yet a bass despite its nice sound cannot really stand on its own. I suppose he could always consider a prs baritone which I believe is somewhere in between. But then again, I do like the harp and I do have another 2 kids… so who knows perhaps the harp will get some use if I bought one. And if not, I guess I could always resell it or donate it to my son’s school.
It would be great to have live music in our home.

I don’t know if you have heard of Kopi coffee but recently I had the opportunity to try it and I must say that I am intrigued.
Let me tell you how it works. Basically they offer a coffee subscription service which sends you 250g of coffee every month for a fixed fee – £48 for 6 months or £84 for a year. What is special about that… well first of all you get to sample different coffee every month and secondly it is great quality coffee.
The one I sampled was strong smelling yet on the weakish side flavour wise. It had an intriguing flavour and interestingly a strong after taste. It came in a resealable foil bag (though I struggled to seal it properly) which also has a “spot” which does something for preserving the flavour (but not quite sure what).
Kopi aim to source unique and rare single-origin coffees from around the world. They also include a leaflet with every pack sent out explaining the coffee; its provenance and taste.
I do think if wine selection packs were this good, I’d probably subscribe especially as I do not know much about wine. Not that I know enough about coffee, which means I am off to convince my hubby to get us a subscription (particularly great as it is implying a new lifestyle to go with our new house).
I wonder if I can convince him to make me a cup now!

My son wanted a Star Wars Party. You would think that this would be an easy job. Pop out buy some Star Wars Party ware and Bob’s your uncle. Well not quite! Apparently it is the wrong season for Star Wars parties. I ended up going on Ebay and ordering some stuff… but most of that never made it. Honestly. So aside from home made invitations and thank you cards, some plates and cups… it was all generic themed. However it all went well and it was a great party. So sometimes, I wonder if we just try too hard.

I have already found you a great deal for this year. Besides the sales which Jessops currently has… you can also get some money off your total spend. You can actually get up to £50 off, so that could go towards another lens or even just photo printing. And the best bit is that you will have memories for years.
Enjoy!
