Postcards

I just had a great idea, or maybe it is a midnight spur of the moment idea but I was thinking that this year instead of Christmas cards, I would make postcards with a pre-printed message. I mean after all postcard printing is probably cheaper than Christmas cards, you can do without envelopes, you don’t have to write a message on everyone’s card as it could be pre printed on the card and I could even get it with a picture of the kids. And yes, I would probably have to start getting organized now. I know Christmas seems far away but we are already on the countdown and this year I have 3 kids… and one has already asked me for a WII!!!!

I am exhausted already!

New Laptop

I got my laptop and am using it. I love it. It is a Lenovo blah blah. I know I should know the model and brand, but suffice to say other things were more important. Although just a regular black laptop, it actually has a textured top and gives it a uniqueness. It comes with windows 7 (which incidentally perhaps because I am not accustomed to it, I dislike). And it even has face recognition to let you access it. LOL, no-one can use it without my say so. I think that is so cool. And as for specs, it has enough to make my dear hubby jealous. I am not sure I like the textured mouse pad and I struggle with typing as it has a more old fashion touch typing feel and somehow I keep jumping around when typing. I do like my number pad at the side. It also has an integrated web-cam and that saves me carrying that extra equipment around. The only thing that I wish it had would be a 3 year laptop warranty and accidental damage (I do have 3 kids under age 5 after all), but a 1 year regular guarantee will just have to do and at the price I paid, I really cannot complain.

Time to play

I like Saturdays as we can do things with the kids. Our son loves to push a ball around but the amount of times it gets lost is pretty impressive. So far we have been lucky as we have used a pen to scribble his name and phone number and most often it gets returned. The idea of personalized footballs is fantastic because then no-one can say that it does not belong to so and so. And obviously it can be designed to specifications eg I am sure my son would want a blue or a rainbow ball with his name on it. Teams? Who needs team balls when you can own your own unique one? (And as long as it had our phone number on it… I’m game).

Pampers Active Fit – New

Pampers have come out with a new update to their active fit nappy. I only realised after actually returning a pack.

I bought a pack and found that the padding in the nappy ends 2/3rd up and not all the way to the top. I assumed it was a flaw in the nappy but the whole bag was like that, so I returned them to the store for an exchange. They exchanged them but this pack was faulty (or so I thought too) but I was desperately short of nappies and as I had the next size up too, I opened that thinking that maybe they just had a faulty batch. And it also was the same. So it set me thinking and I called customer service. Great customer service. They said that mums (not me) wanted thinner nappies (I like the cushioning as when they fall on their bottoms, they hurt less) and they came up with a new nappy. They suggested I tried it and suggested I moved down a size. A smaller size actually was useful. My twins are 9 kilos and the smaller nappy up to 9 kilos was a better fit. And they really hold – I left them a whole day in a nappy and it took it. I was impressed. What I don’t like is that it all gathers at the base of the nappy. But it does actually work.

I would say it is highly recommended for absorbency but it gets very heavy quite quickly. I would score it 7/10.

Why?

Why would anyone want to take protein and testosterone boosters to be all muscle built. I think it is the biggest turn off ever. I mean seriously what is sexy at all about the man in the image below? (only look if you can take horrific images). He makes my stomach churn and makes me want to throw up over my new shoes. Oh did I mention that I went shoe shopping? I did and got myself a lovely pair from Faith which were to make matters even better… on SALE! I love the word Sale.

Cup of coffee anyone?

I wrote a post a while back about apidexin and thought I should add on the following information:-

One of the ingredients in this product is Caffeine. Guess what Caffeine is notorious for? It is notable for waking you up and giving you a boost of energy. And usually with a boost of energy comes a little exercise wether in the form of getting out of the house or even cleaning the house. And a little exercise can result in weight loss. Have a huge dose and voila lots of energy and therefore movement and therefore calorie burning. (Till you crash).

And if this is what you want… guess where Caffeine is most commonly found… in Coffee… so just have a nice strong cuppa and forget that biccie! Save your pennies for REAL shopping. Now where can I guess a Coffee Maker from? I do like this M&S one.

OCD?

I think I might suffer from OCD – obsessive compulsive disorder or something almost as severe. I know that I am a shopaholic in need of help because I was actually considering buying wholesale clothes. I came across a lot of 118 pieces of womens jeans by Diesel and Bebe. Each pair retails between $100 and $250. The lot was on auction at $325 which is approximately 2 pairs. That would however leave me with another er 116 pairs. And although I would be making a saving as the site told me the RRP is $16,600 and I could sell the excess on ebay… I started to realise just how deep I was in. Perhaps I need to get myself some help… or even just hand back my VISA to my hubby!

Coogi

I saw these coogi shorts and had these thoughts…..

The slim teenager in me says “wow“.
The mother in me says “if I ever catch my daughter wearing that…”
The wife in me says “were you looking?”
The fat slob in me says “not in a million years
The wishfulness in me says “if I were a teenager again
The shopaholic in me says “how much please?”

The question is what do you think?

Coogi if you dare

Not just teens

I found a place that confirms that it is not just teenagers who suffer from spots. However for adults, they call it acne! Somehow adult acne treatment always seems more severe, I guess becuase they call it acne and not “just a few spots” as they do for teenagers. However, if many people even in their 20′s, 30′s and 40′s suffer from it, then cannot it simply be normality. We are always striving to have everything perfect including our skins. Now if we could airbrush ourselves, I am sure we would (hence tanning salons cropping up everywhere). As for fake tan, well that is another story on its own!

Debenhams

I recently placed a pretty big order from Debenhams. Overall I was pretty pleased with it all.

I received my order in 3 separate packages within a couple of days. All were nicely packed too. And I only had one delivery charge and it was the same for the Isle of Man as it is for the UK and at £3.95, I dare say it is very reasonable. The clothes are lovely (though a tad on the pricey side) especially if for a wedding or special occasion. And I had no problems with my order whatsoever. Fantastic.

My only gripe, I placed the order the day before the sales started. I really nearly considered cancelling my order and re-ordering as the saving would have been pretty big, but it had been already dispatched and I did want it fast. Talking of fast, they do not do express delivery but they do actually deliver in a very short space of time approx 3-4 days.

Enjoy their Blue Cross Sale!
