Shopping woes!

Sometimes being pregnant can be a bit of a nightmare. I am sort of off shopping. You would think it would be a perfect excuse to shop, shop and shop. But no… I can barely be bothered to even get my maternity bag packed, let alone shop for the contents! I am feeling big and fat and none of my nice clothes fit!!

All I can think about is hoping that all the baby gift baskets that arrive will cover all my needs and hopefully they will contain some zyatonix, to help me fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes!

Probably its just my hormones. I probably want to hit the shops tomorrow, just to get over these blues!!! C’est la vie!

Guests!

We have had guests visiting. Its always nice to have guests though I felt sorry for them as the house is in turmoil (bearing in mind that we are preparing for the babies). Despite all the turmoil, they fell in love with the Isle of Man. We ended up joking about their moving here. I think if I just gave them a list of cross country moving companies, they would move here tomorrow. I think anyone who wants a tranquil life, would simply love IOM. It is not the place for a night life but it definitely is the place to retire and bring up kids safely!

On a shopping note… IOM is a bit lacking, but then again with shopping online, it makes very little difference. Besides, I get to go on specific shopping trips to the UK!!

Decorating the cloak room!

I am in the process of decorating the cloakroom. So far I have added the basics like a toilet paper holder, towel rail, hand soap and a plant. I need to get some carpeting and perhaps a new towel (rather than my bog standard ones). I also need some smell fighting device. I was perhaps thinking of getting some candles rather than an air freshner. I thought the Village Candles  looked pretty and would do the trick. I would probably only light it when we have guests. I mean honestly speaking you don’t really care if you know no-one is entering your cloakroom after you, and if you do… well you could light them more regularly!

New Cloak Room

While we were abroad we had a new cloakroom fitted. I have to say that I do recommend that any house renovations that needs to be done, should be done when you are on holiday (unless you are a very stressy and finicky person). I mean it was so nice to come back and find that we had a new cloak room. No mess. No noise. No trouble. All done without any effort on my part!! Yeah!!

The only issue I did have with having it done while I was abroad, was constantly receiving texts asking me silly questions like do I want Grohe faucets? Black & White tiles or Gray? This last question worried me… I thought terracotta was an obvious choice… but I would have settled for white. But Gray!! Argh!! So the only advice I have .. is state what you want properly in advance, and then you can a nice relaxing holiday.

I must say… I love my new cloakroom… and yes my floor tiles are as I wanted… terracotta!

If I remember… I will add a picture of it!!! :)

Holiday Over

We are back from Paris. Strangely enough the romance seemed to have reduced so much. Admittedly, I did go pregnant and with a toddler… but it was our wedding anniversary. Though it could be the fact that I had a strange lack of shopping in a major shopping capital!! I was a bit too exhausted to shop and shopping with a toddler and husband in tow, really doesn’t work.

On the plus side… the whole family seemed to enjoy the second part of the holiday in Disney. I have to admit that due to being so tired, I limited carrying our camcorders and cameras to one day at Disney. I did allow my hubby to use his compact camera… and I did keep stealing it to take photos… but it is nothing like my dslr! Perhaps I out to do a post of his compact versus my dslr. :)
