Shopaholic? Me?

I hit the shops yesterday. It was meant to be for some er groceries from Tesco … But came home with a few clothes too. I must say I do like cheap and cheerful. I also had a £6 off a £30 spend from signing up with them previously.

What got to me was I wanted to treat my son to some new pants and saw they had a range of Disney underpants. The only issue was they did not have any his size (age 2-3) except for In The Night Garden, which frankly I don’t approve of. I finally managed to find some Bob the Builder…. but he was not happy at all!!

Ah well… at least I had some retail therapy!!

Now isn’t that great?

One of the nicest things about having lost some weight is all the styles of Jeans I can fit into. And apparently this season it is all about the details. This is fantastic by my books, because I think detail really turns an average pair of Jeans into a fantastic pair.

The thing is this, although I have lost a lot of weight, I still have quite a lot to go (well a couple of dress sizes). This means that I don’t want to shop too much on clothes that will hopefully fit me for only a short period, while I lose the rest of the weight. So it boils down to what I really cannot do without. And a good pair of Jeans is on my must have list. Obviously so is that LBD – Little Black Dress but Jeans play an integral part to my everyday wardrobe. They are perfect for nearly anything. Mucking about in a muddy field with my toddler son, hitting the all important shops and even for a night on the town!

Now probably the most important thing about Jeans is that each one of us has our own style, fit and preference.  Thankfully Bootleggers have Jean-e-ologists. Yes… Jean-e-ologists. They are people who are jean experts and will help you find your perfect jeans. Particularly great if like me your shape changes because of a change in weight!

Now please excuse me, I am off to find my perfect pair!!

I would love it if I could change our kitchen but with the horrible current economic situation, well you have to be a bit careful. The truth is I do not need to change my kitchen as it is pretty functional, but it would be nice to have a change.

So I need a nice happy medium to update it without it costing an arm and a leg. So I was thinking, well if I leave the kitchen as is and update the tiles with perhaps some marble mosaics or a couple of pretty tiles, it would make a world of difference. It could be a face lift or botox to my kitchen!! I saw some pretty nice tiles at the Glass Tile Store.

I wonder if I can convince hubby to go with it!

As I said we are doing some works on a house that we plan to rent out. Now all the soft furnishings are not a problem. All the furniture -  not a problem either. All solved with shopping. Now we employed what I thought were the best of every quote we got to do the work. We were quoted 6 – 10 weeks and 10 months later we are still struggling!! Needless to say I am not amused. Wish fixing the house was as easy as shopping.

And Peter  in case you are reading this…. if my place is not sorted by the end of October… I am naming and shaming!!!

I am trying to decoration a house which will be rented out. There is so much to take into consideration such as Window Treatments, Drapes, Valances, Swags, etc. The list goes on. I could hire a professional but then where would that leave me. I would lose out on all that shopping, which for me as a shopaholic is simply not an option. Besides which, there is pleasure to be had in saying I designed it all and chose everything. That is as long as it turns out well!!
